I grew up in Alice, Texas were my father was a petroleum engineer.  I graduated from Alice High School in 1975 and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.  After graduating from Texas A&M in 1979 I returned to Alice where I worked for Tepco Engineering in the oil and gas industry.  During that time, I was involved in operating the company’s oil and gas properties and also overseeing the company’s drilling operations in South Texas.  I was also involved in the company’s uranium business.

In 1987, I made a career decision to go to Baylor Law School obtaining my law degree in 1989.  After graduating from Baylor Law School, I initially practiced with the law firm of Cox & Smith in San Antonio and eventually decided to move back to Corpus Christi where I became a partner with the law firm of Porter, Rogers, Dahlman and Gordon, PC.  In 2011, I established my own practice forming, Randal W. Hill, PC.  My 23 years in the practice of law has principally been devoted to civil litigation.

I have been married for 29 years to my wife, Kim, who is also from Alice.  We have two adult children and are members of the Church of Good Shepherd in Corpus Christi where I have served on the Vestry and also as the Chairman of the Board of St. James Episcopal School.  My hobbies include kayak fishing in the bays and estuaries on the Gulf Coast.
